Rest in Peace, Djordje Balasevic - Farewell

  I am Overwhelmed lately. Really. Can’t believe that amongst all the other things... Yesterday Sadly Great  Serbian singer-songwriter Đorđe Balašević Has passed away 11.5.1953 - 19.2.2021 (Years active 1977 - 2021) Such a Pity :( For little me - certainly one of the greatest mainstream Rock poets, for sure - if not the greatest that Yugoslavia and it’s later “solo” countries have had. Why? Well, he touched us with such a surgeon precision because his songs were So Sad and emotional. And he touched us with his spoken jokes and his funny songs. Both - often till the Tears! Happy or Sad ones... That’s if you have a heart and you are emotional - human. You can call it even, some parts of his work at least, maybe Naive Rock Art – similar to the painters of Croatian Naive Art.
